We operate out of the Basni industrial area, specifically the 2nd Phase at M.I.A. Our units are G-643 through 646. It is a fairly large space because we need room for the laminating machines and all the rolls of material. This part of Jodhpur gets very dusty, especially when the wind picks up, so we are always dusting off the machines. We work with poly laminates, which means a lot of heat and rolls of plastic and paper moving through the rollers. The noise is constant once the shifts start. We aren't the type of place with a fancy boardroom. Our office is just a small corner partitioned off from the factory floor. Most of the time, our clothes have that specific smell of processed plastic on them by the end of the day. It’s hard work, especially in the Jodhpur heat, but we have a good group of people here who know what they are doing. We've been in Basni for a long time and have seen the area change quite a bit. There’s always a truck being loaded or unloaded at the gate. We keep our heads down and focus on getting the lamination right, making sure the layers stick properly without any bubbles. It is a technical job but we treat it like any other daily chore. We’re usually here until late making sure the machines are cooled down properly before we leave.
