Saree Online

Saree Online is located at Shop No. 27 inside Gulabh Bhawan. We are right near Sanischar Ji Ka Than on Chopasni Road. It’s a landmark everyone around here knows, so it makes it easy to tell people how to get to us. Even though the name says Online, we spend plenty of time right here in the shop handling the actual sarees. The shelves are packed tight with different colors and fabrics, from simple cottons to the heavier stuff people wear for big celebrations. It smells a bit like incense and new cloth in here, which is a smell I’ve come to love over the years. Chopasni Road is always buzzing with people, especially in the evenings when everyone is out shopping. Gulabh Bhawan is an older building, so it has a lot of character, though the stairs can be a bit steep if you aren't used to them. We spend a lot of our day taking photos of the sarees to put on the internet, but we also like it when locals stop by to feel the fabric for themselves. It’s just a small team of us. We fold a lot of clothes and talk to a lot of people on the phone. Sometimes we lose track of time when the shop is full. It isn't a high-end boutique with marble floors, but it’s our space and we keep it honest and straightforward for everyone who shops with us.
