China Impex

China Impex is located at F-32 in Mia, Basni Phase I. This is a heavy industrial zone, so it’s always loud with the sounds of machinery from the plants nearby. Our building is a simple structure that serves its purpose. We deal with imports, which means a lot of paperwork and even more boxes. Most of the day is spent checking manifests and making sure the containers are unloaded properly. It’s not the kind of job you see in movies. It’s mostly just checking numbers and moving pallets. The crew here has been around for a long time, so we are like a small family. We don't bother with fancy titles or formal meetings. If there is a problem, we just talk about it over lunch and figure it out. The office is tucked away in a corner and it’s usually filled with files and old ledgers. We don't have a lot of visitors, mostly just truck drivers and delivery people. The air is often thick with dust from the road, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We just focus on getting the goods from the port to our warehouse and then out to the customers. It’s a repetitive cycle but it keeps the lights on. We don't make big promises, we just try to get the count right and keep things moving through Basni Phase I. It’s a tough environment but we like the work. There's always something to do, so we stay busy.
