Jodhpur is a city that gets a lot of visitors, and since we are on the road that leads to the airport, we see a fair share of them passing by. The Panch Batti Circle is a landmark that most local rickshaw drivers know well, so it’s not hard to get here. We have rooms for people who are staying for a night or two. It’s a simple building and we don't put on any airs about being a luxury resort. It’s just an inn. The rooms have the basics you need, like a bed and a bathroom that works. Jodhpur can get quite hot, so we make sure the cooling is handled. We don’t have a massive team, just a few people who handle the front desk and the cleaning. Sometimes we are busy, and sometimes it’s quiet. We don't spend money on big ads or anything. We just keep the place open and wait for travelers to stop in. The neighborhood has a few shops around if you need to buy something. We just try to be helpful if someone asks for directions to the fort or the market. It’s a straightforward business for us, nothing more and nothing less. We keep the keys at the desk and usually there is someone there to help out if you arrive late. It is just a regular local spot.
