Out here in Gajanand Colony, things move at a certain pace. Bhagwan Singh Bhati is located on Chopasni Road, specifically at Suthala 201. It’s a corner of the city that feels very familiar once you’ve been here a few times. The road outside can get quite crowded with bikes and the occasional cow wandering through, but that’s just life in Suthala. Our building isn't a skyscraper. It’s a modest place where we spend our hours. Inside, it smells a bit like old paper and the tea we brew every couple of hours. We don't have a receptionist with a headset or a waiting room with shiny magazines. If you come by, you’ll likely find us sitting at our desks, maybe with a window open to catch a breeze, even though that brings in some dust. The address 201 is easy to find once you know the colony. We’ve seen the neighbors change over the years, but we’ve stayed put. Our setup is simple because we don't need much to do our work. We use regular pens and old ledgers, and we talk to people face-to-face when they stop in. It’s a very hands-on way of doing things. No one here is worried about being the flashiest. We just want to stay consistent and be there for whoever needs us on Chopasni Road. It’s a quiet life, mostly, and we like the routine of it all. We shut down when it gets dark and start again tomorrow.
