Vimla Textiles

Vimla Textiles is tucked away in the Heavy Industrial Area of Jodhpur, specifically at Plot No. 23/2. If you are looking for us, we are right behind the Alcobex Ltd. building. It is a big area and it can be easy to get lost if you don't know the turns. Jodhpur gets incredibly hot in the summer, and being in an industrial zone doesn't help with the temperature. We have these big exhaust fans that hum all day long to try and keep the air moving. The sound of the machines is constant, a sort of rhythmic clanking that you stop hearing after being here for twenty minutes. Our floor is always covered in bits of thread and fabric scraps, no matter how often we sweep. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. People come here because they know we are here and they know what we do. The office is just a corner walled off with some plywood. We sit there and handle the bills and the phone calls. The tea guy comes around twice a day and that’s usually when we take a short break to stretch our legs. It’s a tough environment but we are used to it. The work is repetitive but it is what we know. We just focus on getting the day's tasks done so we can go home to our families and get some decent rest before starting again.
