Bhandari Exports

Basni Phase II is an industrial area, and that is where you will find Bhandari Exports at E-218. The M.I.A. area is always full of trucks and the sound of machinery, which is the soundtrack to our working lives. Our warehouse and office are combined into one big space that stays quite hot during the summer months. We have high metal ceilings and big doors that stay open for the loaders to come and go. It’s not a pretty place, but it’s where the work gets done. Most of my day is spent checking inventories and talking to the drivers who are taking goods out. There are stacks of wooden pallets and cardboard boxes piled high against the walls. We have a small cabin in the corner with a desk and a computer where we do the shipping documents. The air is always a bit dusty from the manufacturing units nearby, so we have to wipe the screens down every morning. We don't really have a brand or anything like that; we just focus on getting the exports out on time and making sure the counts are right. Lunch is usually brought from home and eaten at the desk while looking over the schedule. It is a no-nonsense kind of environment where everyone knows what they need to do without being told twice. We try to keep things organized, but on busy shipping days, there are papers and boxes everywhere. It's just part of the process, and we are used to the noise and the pace by now.
