Ajay Fabrics

Down in Basni Phase II at E-6, you will find Ajay Fabrics. This part of the Marudhar Industrial Area is always busy with textile work. We have been in this spot for a while. The building is a simple one-story structure with a big door for the trucks. Inside, the air smells like fresh cotton and dye. We spend our days sorting through different grades of fabric. It is a lot of manual work, moving rolls around and checking for flaws. We do not have any fancy robots; it is all done by hand. The sun gets pretty hot out here, so we try to get the heavy work done early. Our team is small, mostly just local guys who know their way around a loom. We do not spend money on glossy brochures. We would rather just show people the cloth we have on the racks. The office is just a small corner with a desk and a few chairs. Most of the space is taken up by the stock. Sometimes the floor gets messy with loose threads, but that is how it is. People know us at E-6. We have been a part of this industrial community for years. We just keep doing what we know. It is not glamorous, but it is our life and we are used to the pace. We usually shut the gates by six and head home after a long day.
