Antique Indian Furniture

Our shop is Antique Indian Furniture, and we are located at G-587, 9th Street in Basni 2nd Phase. It is a big space because furniture takes up a lot of room. We have old pieces of wood and finished items stacked all over the place. There is always the smell of sawdust and varnish in the air. It gets on your clothes and in your hair by the end of the day. We spend our days sanding, carving, and fixing up various old designs. Some of the stuff is quite heavy, so there is a lot of lifting involved for us. We do not have a fancy showroom with carpets or air conditioning. It is just a workshop where people can see what we are working on at the moment. We get a lot of dust on everything, so we have to wipe things down constantly. The street outside can get a bit congested with big trucks. We have been in Basni for quite some time now. Most of us here have learned the craft from our fathers or other family members. It is not a high-tech business at all. We use old-fashioned tools mostly. We do not have a big sales pitch. If you like the wood and the work we do, that is enough for us. We just enjoy making things that will last a long time. It is a long day, but seeing a finished piece makes it worth it for everyone.
