Antari Devi Memorial Consultants Private is based at 17/150 in the Chopasni Housing Board area of Jodhpur. The name is a bit long, so most of us just call it the office. It is a residential neighborhood, so it feels very different from a typical business district. We work out of a building that has been here for a long time. Jodhpur is known for being hot, and our office is no exception. We have a few rooms filled with stacks of papers and some old computers that still work fine. There is no big hierarchy here. We are just a small team trying to stay on top of the consulting work we do. In the mornings, you can hear the local vegetable sellers calling out in the street. We usually start our day with a bit of cleaning and some tea. We don't have a canteen, so everyone brings a lunch box from home. We sit around the main table and talk about regular things while we eat. The walls are a light yellow and have some marks on them from years of moving furniture around. It is a comfortable place to be. We don't use much fancy technology unless we really have to. It is all about just doing the job properly without making a big fuss. People in the colony know who we are.
