You’ll find us at 10/11 in Madhuban, which is part of Basni 1st Phase. It’s an industrial area, so there isn’t much scenery, just other workshops and factories all around us. Amrit Art Export occupies a decent-sized space here. We have a lot of different art pieces coming through the doors, from small items to things that are quite bulky. The workshop floor is always a bit chaotic with packing materials like bubble wrap and tape scattered around. We try to keep things moving so nothing stays in the warehouse for too long. Basni is a dusty place, and the heat in the summer can be quite something under the tin roofs, but we have some fans to keep the air moving. Our staff is a small group of people who mostly live nearby. We usually have lunch together in the small break area we set up in the back. There’s a lot of noise from the neighboring units, usually the sound of metal being cut or machines running, but you stop hearing it after a while. We spend a lot of time on our feet, checking on the items before they are packed into the wooden crates for export. It’s a lot of work to make sure everything is packed safely so it doesn't break on its journey. We just take it one day at a time and try to stay on top of the schedule.
