In Jodhpur, we are at Shop Number A-15 in the Stadium Market. It’s right across from the Town Hall. This market is a very lively place with people always moving around. Our shop is small but it serves the purpose. We handle the money side of things for people who want to save locally. It’s a Nidhi company, so it’s all about the members. We have a few desks and some plastic chairs for when people visit. The heat in Jodhpur can be quite something, so we mostly keep the door shut and the cooler on. We aren't trying to be some high-end financial firm. We just do the daily work of keeping records and talking to people about their small deposits. Most of our members are shopkeepers from the same market. We’ve known them for years. It’s a very honest kind of business. No one here wears a suit. We just come in, do the paperwork, and head home in the evening. Sometimes we stay late if the books don't match up right away. It’s just the usual grind. The Stadium Market is a good place to be because everything is close by. We’ve been here long enough that the walls need a bit of new paint. We don't have a lot of employees, just us and a person who helps with the cleaning and tea.
