Akshar Industries

Working out of the RIICO Industrial Area in Sangaria is exactly what you would expect. It's dusty, loud, and there is always someone welding or moving heavy boxes nearby. Akshar Industries is located at No. 545 in the 2nd Phase. We’ve been in this shed for a long time. The roof gets really loud when it rains, and the Jodhpur sun makes the metal walls pretty hot by noon. We don't have any fancy signs or a big lobby. It's just the machines, some raw materials stacked in the corner, and a small cabin where we keep the computer and the billing books. Most of the guys here have been with us for years. We know the neighbors, mostly other small workshops making various parts. Sometimes the power goes out and we all just sit outside and wait for it to come back on. It’s not the cleanest place, but it’s where we work every day from morning until late evening. Getting parts delivered can be a bit of a pain because the roads in the industrial area are full of potholes. You learn to drive around them after a few weeks. We just focus on getting the orders finished and making sure the counts are right. It’s hard work, and our hands are usually dirty by the end of the shift, but that's just how it is here in Sangaria. We don't have time for anything besides keeping the machines running and the floors swept.
