Kashto Wabisabi

Our shop is located on Circuit House Road in T Nagar, right near the Happy Hour School and Ajit Bhawan. It is a bit of a specific spot to find if you are not from around here. We called the place Kashto Wabisabi because we liked that idea of things being a little imperfect but still very useful. We do not have a massive sign outside, just enough for people to know they have arrived at the right place. Inside, it is mostly quiet, except when the school nearby lets out and the kids are making a lot of noise on the street. We sell various items, mostly things for the home or stuff we find interesting and want to share. The shelves are made of plain wood, and we arrange things ourselves every few days. It is not a corporate setup at all. Usually, there is just one or two of us here. We spend time cleaning the items or talking to neighbors who wander in. We do not really have a big marketing plan. We just put things out and hope people like the look of them. Sometimes we find old pieces that need a bit of fixing up before they go on the shelf. The floor is tile and it stays cool in the summer heat, which is good. It is a small space, so we have to be careful not to clutter it too much. (251 words)
