Jeet Fly Ash

Being right near Joda Railway Station means there’s always noise. You get used to the sound of the trains passing and the whistles blowing at all hours. Our place, Jeet Fly Ash, is right in the middle of all that activity. We deal with fly ash mostly, which means there’s always a bit of grey dust on the boots and the trucks. It’s a busy little operation we’ve got going here. Most days are spent coordinating with drivers and making sure the ash is handled properly. It’s not the kind of work you do if you want to stay spotless. We’re usually outside near the tracks, watching the loading or talking to people coming through. The station is a good landmark, so folks don't usually have trouble finding where we are located. Sometimes the wind picks up and we have to be careful with how things are stacked. It’s a simple setup, really. We don't have a big corporate lobby or anything like that. Just a yard, some equipment, and a group of guys who know how to handle the material. The sun gets pretty hot out by the tracks in the afternoon, but the work doesn't stop. We've been here long enough that the local transport guys all know us by name. It’s just steady work, moving fly ash and making sure the orders are ready when the trucks pull in. We just take it one day at a time here in Joda.
