Shree Swastik Papad Udyog

We are located at K-54 in Pawan Nagar, over in the N-9 Cidco area, and also have space at Shendra MIDC. Shree Swastik Papad Udyog is a place that feels more like a large family kitchen than a factory. In the mornings, there is a lot of activity with the dough and the rolling pins. We have long tables set up where the work gets done. It’s very important that the weather is dry because we need to get the papads dried properly. If it rains suddenly, everyone has to rush to move things under the roof. It’s a bit chaotic when that happens. The smell of spices like black pepper and cumin is always there in the air. We have a lot of women from the local area who come in to work, and there’s usually a lot of chatting while the hands are busy. The place isn't fancy at all. We have bags of flour stacked against the walls and large containers of spices everywhere. The floor is concrete and we keep it as clean as possible, but it’s an old building. Sometimes the lights flicker when the machines in the next unit start up, but we just keep going. It’s a very manual process and requires a lot of patience. We just take it day by day, making sure the quality is what it should be before things are packed into bags.
