Thyssenkrupp Industries India Private Limited has a place here in Baldev Nagar, not too far from the BMC Hotel. It’s a familiar landmark for us because everyone uses the hotel as a reference point when they’re coming to visit. This part of the city can get quite congested, but our facility is tucked away enough that we can actually get some work done. It’s a large site with plenty of activity going on at any given hour. We aren't really the type to put up big banners or shout about what we do. Most of the people working here have been with the company for a long time, and we just go about our business in the sheds and offices. The yard is usually full of materials waiting to be moved, and you can hear the hum of the equipment running throughout the day. It’s a practical environment where people wear work boots and carry clipboards. We don’t have much time for corporate talk or sitting in long meetings that don’t lead anywhere. Most of our day is spent looking at drawings or making sure the production line is moving like it’s supposed to. Even though we are part of a bigger name, the local vibe here in Baldev Nagar is still very much present. We share the same dusty roads and the same local lunch spots as everyone else in the neighborhood. It’s just a steady, hard-working place where the job comes first.
