We are located right in the middle of the New Grain Market in Safidon at Shop No. 182. If you know Jind, you know how busy the grain market can get, especially during the harvest season. Shakti Food Oil Private Limited deals with exactly what the name says. The shop is usually covered in a fine layer of dust from the grains and there’s always the smell of oil in the air. It’s a loud place with tractors and trucks moving around all day. We spend most of our time at the front of the shop talking to farmers and traders. It’s not a place for suits and ties. We wear clothes that we do not mind getting a bit dirty. The floor is concrete and we have a couple of old wooden desks where we keep the ledger. Dealing with food oil is a messy business, but it’s what we know. We’ve been in this spot for a while and the people around here know us by name. We do not do much advertising because everyone in the market just walks in when they need something. It’s a very direct way of doing business. Sometimes the weather makes things hard, but the market never really stops. We just try to keep the oil moving and the accounts straight. It is a simple life, and we are happy to be part of the Safidon community, doing what we have always done.
