Raj Steel. We’re located at House No. 452 on Jind Raod, right by the Jakholi Adda. If you’ve been in this part of town, you’ve probably seen the stacks of metal out front. We deal in steel, so it’s a lot of heavy lifting and loud noises all day. The yard is usually full of different types of pipes, bars, and sheets. It gets pretty dusty, especially when the wind picks up off the road. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning. We just have a small desk where we handle the money and the receipts. Most of our work is done outside, moving the steel around and loading it onto trucks for the local builders. We see a lot of the same faces every week. People know they can come here and find items for their construction projects. It’s hard work, and our clothes are usually stained with rust or grease by the end of the shift. We don’t mind it. It’s a practical business, and we like it that way. Jind Raod is always busy, so there’s never a dull moment. Sometimes the traffic makes it hard for the big trucks to turn in, which causes a bit of a headache. We just deal with it and keep moving. We aren't trying to be some giant corporation. We’re just a local steel yard serving the people around Jakholi Adda. We stay busy with the work.
