Nain Foundation

Our foundation is located over in Rajender Nagar, within the New Housing Board area of Jind. It’s a busy residential spot, and we are right in the middle of it. We chose this spot because it puts us close to the families we are trying to help. Jind is a place where everyone knows everyone else’s business, which actually helps us when we are trying to figure out who needs assistance. We do a bit of everything here. Some days we are helping with school supplies for the local kids, and other days we are coordinating with the health clinic down the road. The office isn't very big, and it can get quite cramped when we have a lot of volunteers over. We don't have air conditioning that works all the time, so it gets a bit stuffy in the summer months. We don't spend money on fancy signs or professional photos. We just do the work that needs doing. Usually, you’ll find one of us sitting at the main desk drinking tea and talking to someone from the housing board. We try to be a useful part of the community here in Rajender Nagar. It’s not a fast-paced environment, but we get things done at our own speed. If you’re in the area, you can’t miss us; we’re the ones with the door always propped open for anyone who needs to come in and talk about their problems.
