We are located right at Gandhi Chowk in Chirawa. Most people know where we are because we’re so close to the Maruti showroom. It’s a good spot, right in the heart of things where everyone passes by on their way to the market. Inside the shop, it’s mostly glass counters and some old chairs for people to sit on while they look at what we have. We do a lot of repairs, fixing broken chains or resizing rings that don’t fit anymore. It’s delicate work and my eyes get tired by the end of the day. The fan on the ceiling makes a bit of a clicking sound, but we don't really notice it anymore. Chirawa can be quiet during the afternoon heat, but Gandhi Chowk picks up again in the evening. We get a lot of local families coming in, people we’ve known for years. Sometimes they just stop in to say hello and don't buy anything at all, which is fine by us. We keep a small safe in the back for the valuable stuff and a workbench where the soldering happens. It’s not a huge operation, just us and a couple of helpers who have been with us forever. We try to keep the glass clean, though the dust from the road makes it a constant chore. It’s a steady life here, watching the town grow and the people go about their business day after day.
