Vivekananda Polytechnic College

Vivekananda Polytechnic College sits out in Rajota, Khetri. Being in Rajasthan, it gets pretty warm in the afternoons, especially in the workshops. The building has been around for a bit. We spend a lot of time in the labs. You can usually hear the sound of tools or students talking in the hallways. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road to get to the entrance. The staff mostly comes from the local area or towns nearby. We keep a lot of old files in the back office cabinets. It’s not a polished place with shiny floors, but it works fine for what we do here. Students come to this part of Rajasthan to learn actual skills they can use for jobs. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just wait it out or move to the more airy rooms. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint soon. We don't have any big marketing team. Just some people trying to teach and some students trying to learn. The sun is tough, but the thick walls keep it okay inside. We have a small area where people can sit during their breaks. It gets busy during the admissions time, then it settles down into a regular routine. Most of the guys working here are local. We just do our jobs and go home. It is a simple setup really.
