Mohammed Salim

I’m Mohammed Salim and I have been operating out of Mohlla Khatriyan in Ward No 35 for quite some time now. Jhunjhunu is a place where everybody knows everybody, so you can't really hide if you don't do things right. My setup here is quite simple. It’s just a small space where I keep all my stuff and handle the daily tasks that come my way. There is no big office or fancy furniture, just the basics. People usually find me here from early morning till the sun goes down. Rajasthan can get very hot, especially during the summer months, so we try to get most of the heavy lifting done before noon. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit outside and talk to the neighbors until it comes back. It isn't anything like the big corporate places you see in the cities. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting lounge. If you come by, you just walk in. I started this because I needed a way to support the family and it just grew into a regular routine over the years. My father used to say that if you stay in one spot long enough, the work will find you, and that’s pretty much what happened here. I don't spend money on advertising because word of mouth in this ward is more than enough to keep me busy every day of the week.
