Karan Provision Store

I run Karan Provision Store here in Village-Tatija. It is not a very big place, just a regular shop near Brahman Mohalla in the Kethri area. Most people from around Jhunjhunun know the way here. We open up pretty early because people need their things before they go off to work or the fields. My family helps me out with the heavy lifting and stacking the shelves. Sometimes the truck delivery is late, so we just have to wait by the road. There is always someone coming in for a bit of sugar or some oil. It gets dusty in this part of the village, so I spend a lot of time cleaning the counters. We don't have fancy lights or anything, just what is necessary to see the stock. The neighbors come by to chat as much as they do to buy. It's how things work in Tatija. Sometimes kids come in with a few coins for some sweets after school. I try to keep the staples like flour and lentils always ready so nobody goes home empty-handed. Being near Brahman Mohalla means it stays quite busy during the festival times. I have lived in this district my whole life, so I know almost every face that walks through that door. It is just a simple way to make a living and keep the community fed. Nothing too complicated goes on here, just the daily routine of opening and closing.
