Up here in Rajasthan, in the Jhunjhunu district, things are quite a bit different. We are based in V.Po Bhukana, which is a small place. Jsw Steel Ltd has us here to look after the needs of this region. It's a very dry area with a lot of open land and small villages. Work is what keeps us busy, especially with the steel trade growing in the desert areas. We handle the logistics from a simple office that doesn't look like much from the outside. It’s just a practical space where we keep our files and take our calls. The summers are really hot here, so we try to get most of the heavy work done early in the morning before it gets unbearable. We deal with a lot of local people who are building homes or small shops. It’s a lot of driving around to check on deliveries and making sure the steel gets to the right site. We don't have a huge staff, so everyone does a bit of everything. It’s a hardworking lifestyle and we don't have time for anything flashy or corporate. We focus on getting the steel out and making sure the paperwork is correct. It’s been our way for a long time. People in Bhukana know where to find us if they have questions about their orders. It’s a straightforward business and we just keep at it every day because the work never really stops.
