Jetto India Foundation

Jetto India Foundation is over in Swami Sehi, which is a part of the Surajgarh Tehsil in Jhunjhunu. We operate from the residence of Vidha Devi. If you are coming from the main town, it takes a little while to get here because the roads are narrow and sometimes there’s livestock in the way. We started this because we wanted to do something for our own people in this district. It is very dry here and life can be tough for the families who live on the outskirts. Our office is just a simple room with some old cupboards for our papers. We don't have fancy computers or a big staff. It is mostly just us and whoever decides to volunteer for the day. We spend a lot of our time visiting the nearby houses to see how everyone is doing. The local language is what we speak here, and we don't bother with formal English unless we have to. Most of our days are spent trying to figure out how to get water or better supplies for the local school. We don't have a big sign out front, but everyone in the village knows where Vidha Devi lives. We just take things one day at a time and try to be useful to the people who live around us in Surajgarh.
