Our place is C-179 in the Iinda area of Khetri. It’s right in the heart of the copper belt in Rajasthan. If you know anything about this region, you know Khetri is synonymous with mining. We’ve been operating from this address for quite some time. It’s a rugged landscape out here, very dry and very hot for most of the year. The building is simple and serves its purpose. We don’t need anything over the top. Most of our day is spent dealing with the local operations. It’s a lot of ground-level work. You can see the mining infrastructure from different parts of the town. We are part of that whole ecosystem. The local community is mostly made up of people who have some link to the copper industry. We have our routines, like the morning chai and the daily briefings. It’s not the kind of place where people wear suits every day. We wear what’s practical for the dust and the heat. Life in Khetri is centered around the work. We’ve got 333504 as our pincode, but people just know us as the copper folks at Iinda. It’s an honest way to make a living. There’s a sense of pride in the work, even if we don’t talk about it in fancy terms. We just get the job done and keep the wheels turning. It isn't always easy, but we've been doing it for a long time now and we know the ropes.
