Hindustan Copper Limited

This spot is over in Kolihan Nagar, specifically at Q No.C-12. If you know Jhunjhunu, you know it’s a place with a lot of history in the mining world. We are based here in Rajasthan where the heat is a real thing. This address is more of a residential setup for the staff working with Hindustan Copper Limited. It’s not a big glass office building or anything like that. It’s just a regular quarter where people live and handle some of the day-to-day things. Living and working in a place like this means you know everyone. We see the same faces every morning when we head out. The town itself is built around the work we do with copper. It’s a dry landscape but there’s a sense of community here in Kolihan Nagar. People have been staying in these quarters for years, raising families and just getting on with life. It’s quiet in the evenings, which is nice. We don’t have the noise of a big city like Mumbai. Life moves a bit slower here. You get used to the dust and the sun after a while. Most of the talk around here is about the mines or how the weather is changing. It is a simple life, really. Nothing too complicated about it. We just look after the place and make sure things are running okay from our side. It’s home for us and a workplace too, in a way. We try to keep the place neat, but the desert has other plans sometimes.
