We don't have a lot of staff, just a few of us who have been together for a while. We spend most of our time dealing with the usual stuff that comes with running a business in Jharsuguda. It’s dusty work sometimes, especially when the trucks go past, but we don’t mind it much. It’s just part of being in Belpahar. We keep the place open pretty late most days because there’s always something that needs to be finished. The office has some old wooden chairs and a table that wobbles a bit if you lean on it too hard. We’re not really the type to spend money on fancy furniture when the old stuff works fine. Everyone around here knows us. We’re not trying to impress anyone with big words or polished looks. We just want to do our jobs and go home to our families at the end of the day. It’s a simple life, but it suits us well enough. We’re just glad to be working here at the chowk. Sometimes the street lights flicker, and it makes the whole road look a bit strange.
