B. K. Trades N Commerce

Our office is on the first floor of the B K Building, which we named after the family. It is right on Sarbahal Road in the Marwadi Para area. If you know this part of town, you know it gets quite crowded with traffic, especially in the evenings. We started B. K. Trades N Commerce because there was a need for someone to handle the local trade stuff without making it too complicated. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep, so we always tell people to watch their step when they come to visit us. Inside, it is mostly just desks, some old filing cabinets, and a lot of paperwork scattered around. We handle a bit of everything here, mostly coordinating between buyers and sellers. It is not glamorous work, and sometimes the phone doesn’t stop ringing for hours. My nephew helps out with the computer work now because I am not very good with the new systems they have. Sarbahal Road is a noisy place, so we usually keep the windows shut to drown out the horns from the trucks passing by. Marwadi Para has changed a lot over the years, with new buildings coming up everywhere, but our building stays pretty much the same. We take our tea breaks around four o'clock, and that is usually the best part of the day when we can just sit for a minute or two before the late rush starts.
