Our coal washery is located in Ward No-1, Seraikela, Jharkhand. It’s Monnet Daniel Coal Washery Pvt Ltd. If you’ve never been to a coal washery, it’s a lot of heavy machinery and a fair bit of noise. It isn't the cleanest job in the world, but it’s important work for the industry around here. Seraikela is an area that knows all about hard work. We spend our days processing coal, making sure it’s ready for whatever it needs to do next. The yard is usually full of trucks and the air smells like earth and machinery. We have a small office on the site where we handle the records and the payroll. It’s pretty basic—just some desks, a few chairs, and a lot of dust that seems to get into everything. We don't have any marketing people here; we just have workers who know how to run the plant. It’s a physical job. You go home tired at the end of the shift.
