Jindal Steel & Power Limited,Patratu,Jharkhand

This office is a bit different because we are located in Patna, at Mr. M.N. Dubey’s place called Jagdish Kunj. It’s in the Magistrate Colony in Ashiana Nagar. It’s a residential area, so it’s much quieter than being right at a plant site. We work for the Patratu, Jharkhand division of Jindal Steel & Power Limited from this address. It’s basically a house that serves as our base here in Bihar. The atmosphere is very homey. We have some desks set up in the rooms. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood, like kids playing or cars passing by on the street. It’s a bit of a commute for some of us, but the area is nice. We handle a lot of the administrative side of things. There’s a lot of typing and phone calls to Jharkhand. We aren't a big industrial site here, just a group of people making sure the paperwork for the steel business is handled correctly. Sometimes the printer jams and we all have to take turns trying to fix it. We eat our lunch together in the small kitchen area. It’s not a polished corporate office with glass partitions. It feels more like working from a family home. We’ve been at this address for a while and the neighbors know us. It’s a steady place to work and we just keep things moving along day by day. It is a decent place to get our work done.
