Pakhar Bauxite Mines, M/S Hindalco Industries Ltd.,Lohardaga

I’m based out of Bokaro Steel City, specifically at Qr. No. 1-205 on G-Road. I’m staying at Mrs. Sunita Jha’s place while I handle things for the Pakhar Bauxite Mines. It’s a bit of a distance to Lohardaga where the actual mining happens, but this is where the paperwork and the coordination get done. Working with M/S Hindalco Industries Ltd means there's always something moving, whether it's trucks or just lists of supplies. The house here is quiet, which is a nice change from the dust and noise of the mines. I've been in this industry for a bit now, and you get used to the red dirt and the heavy machinery. Jharkhand is a tough place to work sometimes because of the weather and the terrain, but the bauxite needs to get out. I spend a lot of my time on the phone or checking schedules. It isn't a glamorous job. My desk is usually covered in maps and site reports. Some days are longer than others, especially when there's a delay at the site. I drink a lot of tea to stay awake during the afternoon slump. People in the colony know I work for the mines, even if I'm mostly just in and out. It’s just what I do. The mining life isn't for everyone, but it pays the bills and keeps me busy. I don't really have a big staff here, just me and the files.
