Jaiprakash Associates Ltd. (Cement Devision)

This is where we handle things for the Jaiprakash Associates Ltd. (Cement Devision) in Munger. Our office is set up in Dalhatta, specifically over at Kundan Kumar Verma’s place. He is the son of Sri Ramesh Chandra Verma, and everyone around here knows the family. The office is right in the Gandhi Nagar area. It is a pretty busy spot with a lot of noise from the local market and the sounds of people moving about all day long. Inside, it is just a regular workspace. We have some heavy wooden tables and plenty of ledgers where we track everything. The walls are a bit plain, maybe they could use a new coat of paint, but it gets the job done. We deal with a lot of paperwork regarding the cement bags and where they need to go next. Sometimes it gets quite dusty because of the nature of the business, but we don’t mind it much. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for the trucks or the visitors to arrive. It’s not a big corporate building with an elevator, just a practical space where we can sit and work through the day’s tasks. Munger has its own pace, and we just follow that. Usually, the afternoons are slow when the sun is really hot, but things pick up again by five. We are just local people doing our jobs here in Bihar.
