Shambhavi Traders

Shambhavi Traders has been sitting here on Barhaj Road for quite some time now, just a short walk from the ICICI Bank. We’re a typical local trading business, so our space is usually filled with bags, crates, or whatever stock we’ve managed to get in that week. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when you walk in, especially if we’ve just had a delivery. The walls are a plain color and the shelves are built more for strength than for looking good. We don't spend money on fancy displays because that’s not what our customers are looking for. People come to us because we’re right here on the main road and we usually have what they need in stock. You’ll often find me or one of the boys sitting on a stool near the front, keeping an eye on the street and waiting for the next truck to arrive. The traffic on Barhaj Road is constant, so there’s always a background noise of horns and engines. We keep a ledger on the counter to track things, and there’s usually a glass of tea sitting somewhere nearby. It’s a simple life of buying and selling. We don't have any big corporate goals, just the daily task of making sure the inventory is right and the customers leave with what they came for. It’s a bit dusty, a bit noisy, but it’s our corner of the world and we’re used to the rhythm of it.
