Neelam Dresses

Neelam Dresses is located at No. 174 in Manik Chowk. If you have ever been to Manik Chowk, you know how busy and cramped the lanes can get, especially during the festival season. Our shop has been here for quite a long time, and we have piles of fabrics and ready-made dresses reaching almost to the ceiling. It’s a bit of a maze inside, but we know exactly where everything is kept. My father ran this place before me, and not much has changed since then, except maybe we have some brighter lights now. We don't have fancy dressing rooms with big mirrors or someone offering you water when you walk in. It’s just a traditional shop where you come to find good cloth for a fair price. We get a lot of regular customers who have been buying their family’s clothes from us for decades. They come in, sit on the floor cushions, and look through the new arrivals while we chat about the local news. We don't bother with social media or online sales because we like the face-to-face talk with the people who come in. Sometimes the shop gets so full of people that you can barely move, but that is just part of the charm of Manik Chowk. We just try to keep the shelves stocked with what people like to wear for weddings or regular days.
