Makbys

Makbys is located at Plot No.102 on the Sadar Bazar-Jhansi Road. We are right in Civil Lines, not far from the Jhansi Hotel. It’s a pretty central spot which makes it convenient for people to stop by while they are out running errands. We handle stone and granite products mostly. Our place isn’t huge but we try to keep a good variety of slabs where people can actually see them. Working in this part of town is a bit different than being out in a rural quarry area. It is a bit more compact here. We started this because we knew the stone business and saw a need for a local shop right in the city. Usually, it's just a few of us here. We handle the inquiries, show the samples, and arrange the transport. It can get a bit hectic when several trucks arrive at once because the road gets busy. We don’t have a big corporate setup. It is more of a hands-on type of business. When someone comes in looking for a countertop, we just show them what we’ve got on the racks. The slabs have their own quirks and marks, and we try to point those out. It’s about being honest about what’s in the yard. We’ve been doing this long enough to know what works for most houses around here. We spend a lot of time just sweeping the floor and rearranging pieces so they don't get chipped. It’s a small shop but we keep it going every single day.
