Maharaja Decorators

Our shop is right near Bundelkhand College, over in the Aatia Talab area of Jhansi. Maharaja Decorators has been around the BKD Chowk neighborhood for a good number of years. We handle the usual stuff like weddings, small house parties, and religious functions. Most people just walk in and tell us what they need for their tent or lights. We have a lot of stuff piled up in the back, from colored cloths to different kinds of flowers and poles. It gets really busy during the wedding season, and sometimes we are working through the night to get a stage ready. It’s hard work, lifting heavy things and climbing ladders, but that’s the job. We aren’t some big corporate company, just a local team that knows how to set things up. Sometimes things don’t go exactly to plan, like if it rains, but we always figure it out. We’ve done hundreds of setups across Jhansi. People know us by word of mouth mostly. My uncle started this, and now we all just pitch in. If you need some chairs or a backdrop, you just come down to Aatia Talab and talk to us. We keep things simple and try to make sure the decorations look decent for whatever event is happening. It’s just honest work. We like being part of the local celebrations here and seeing the final look when everything is finished and done.
