Maa Pitambara Mill

Maa Pitambara Mill is located right in the Main Market on Jhansi Road. It’s a noisy place because the machines are usually running most of the day, grinding things down. You can often smell the dust and the grains in the air before you even see the sign. We’ve been at this location for years, and the building shows its age a little, but the equipment still works just fine. We handle a lot of different loads from people all over the area who bring their stuff to be processed. The floor is usually covered in a thin layer of white dust, which is just part of the job. We don’t bother with fancy offices or rugs. It’s a workspace through and through. Our regulars know to come in through the side door if the front is blocked by sacks. We stay busy during the peak seasons, and sometimes the lights stay on late into the night. It’s hard work, but we are used to it by now. The traffic on Jhansi Road can be a headache, especially on market days, but it brings people to our door. We just keep our heads down and focus on the grinding. We don't have much to say about ourselves other than we show up every morning and do the work. It is a simple life centered around the mill and the people who depend on us. The old wooden counter has seen better days, but it holds our ledgers just fine.
