Jai Balaji K S S Granite is located at H. No. 183/1 in the CP Miss Jalsans area of Jhansi. We work with stone and granite, which is heavy and dusty work. Our yard usually has slabs of different colors leaning against the walls. It’s not a clean job, but we like working with our hands. People come to us when they are finishing up their houses or doing some renovations. We spend a lot of time measuring things out and making sure the cuts are straight. Dealing with granite requires a lot of patience because if you rush, the stone might crack. Jhansi gets very hot, so we try to do the heavy lifting in the mornings before the sun gets too high. The office is just a simple room where we keep the invoices and talk to customers. We’ve been in this part of Uttar Pradesh for a long time. The local granite industry is quite active here. We know most of the other workers in the trade. It’s a family-type atmosphere at the shop. We don’t have a website or anything like that, we just rely on people stopping by the house or calling us up. Sometimes we have to wait for new shipments to arrive from the quarries, which can take a few days. We just take it one day at a time.
