It’s a busy little spot in town. We see people coming and going all day because of the hospital, so there is always something happening outside the window. We’ve been here for a good amount of time now. The building is older, but it’s sturdy and keeps the heat out during those long summers. We aren't doing anything flashy. Most of our day is spent at our desks, handling paperwork and talking to people who drop by. We’ve got a small team and we all know each other’s families and what’s going on in the neighborhood. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don’t use much of that complicated business talk you hear in the big cities. We just explain things clearly and help out where we can. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out or use the lanterns if we have to stay late. It’s just part of life here in U.P. We like being centrally located because it’s easy for everyone to find us. We’ve got our own way of organizing things that might look messy to others, but we know exactly where everything is. It’s a comfortable, normal place to work. We don't need fancy decorations to do our daily jobs.
