Shama Clinic

We are situated right below Dr. Rafiq's house in Mangrol. It’s a small place in the Baran district. Everyone in the neighborhood knows the house, so it’s not hard to find us. The clinic is basically just a few rooms on the ground level. We don't have a big fancy office or a huge staff. It’s mostly just a local spot where people from the village and nearby areas come when they aren't feeling well. We see a lot of fever, coughs, and regular stuff like that. Because it’s under a residence, it has a very homey feel to it. You might hear the daily sounds of the house above or the neighbors chatting outside. Mangrol is the kind of place where news travels fast, so we don't need to do much besides be here when the doors open. We have a small area for people to sit and wait their turn. The furniture is simple, just some wooden benches and a table. We try to keep the medicine stocked up as much as we can. It gets quite dusty during the dry season, so we are always sweeping the front step. It’s a humble setup, but it serves the people who live around here. We know the families and their kids who come in. It’s just a part of the daily life in this corner of the district, nothing more and nothing less. It's been like this for as long as I can remember.
