Our place, Scl, is located in Sangod, which is in the Kota district of Rajasthan. Specifically, we are in Ratipada, right across from the Maliyon Ke Mandir. Having the temple right there makes it easy for people to find us. It is a quiet area compared to the big cities. The building is simple and fits in with the rest of the village structures. We don't have a big sign, just our presence there. The weather in Kota gets very hot, so we usually start our work quite early in the morning. By midday, everything slows down because of the heat. We sit outside sometimes when there is a bit of shade. The road in front of us is mostly used by locals and the occasional tractor. It’s a very grounded way of living and working. We know almost everyone who passes by. There is a sense of peace being near the temple. We don't use much technology here, just the basics to keep our records. It is an honest, small-scale operation. Sometimes the cows wander onto the path and we have to wait for them to move. It’s not a fast-paced life, but we get our tasks done. We have been here for a long time and the community knows us well. It’s just Scl, right there in Ratipada, doing what we do every day without any fuss. It’s our way of life.
