Nitin Provision Store

Nitin Provision Store is located on Baran Tehsil Road, right in the heart of the main market area. It’s a place where we keep large sacks of flour, rice, and pulses stacked up against the walls. The smell of raw spices and grains is always there when you walk in. We spend a lot of our time weighing things out on the scales and tying up small bags for customers. The market outside is usually packed with people and carts, so it can be quite a struggle just to get our own deliveries inside. We have wooden shelves that have seen better years, and they are filled with jars of snacks and packets of tea. It’s a simple setup and we like it that way. We don't have any computers or barcode scanners, just a pen and paper for our accounts. Some days are very long, starting early before the sun is too high and staying until the market starts to quiet down at night. We get a lot of regulars who live in the streets nearby. Sometimes we just stand at the doorway and talk to the other shopkeepers when there aren't any customers. It’s a dusty, busy, and sometimes loud environment, but it’s where we work. We don't try to be anything other than a basic store providing food and supplies to the people around Baran Tehsil Road.
