Kiraad General Store

We are located in Sangod, Kota. It is a smaller place compared to the big cities, so everyone pretty much knows each other. The store has been here for a while and we see the same people every single day. We sell a bit of everything because in a place like this, you need to have variety. We have household items, some food stuff, and things for the kids. The shelves are wooden and we built some of them ourselves to fit the space. The air is usually quiet except for when the local tractors or bikes go by on the road. We spend a lot of time sitting out front when it is slow, just watching the street and nodding to people walking past. There is a lot of manual work, like unloading sacks of grain from the back of a cart or a small truck. We don't use any computers or fancy systems for our accounts. Everything is noted down in a thick paper book with a pen. Sometimes people come in just to talk for a few minutes about the weather or the crops before they buy their things. That is just how it is in a town like Sangod. We keep the store open through the heat of the day, though we might slow down a bit in the late afternoon. It is an honest way to make a living and we are part of the local fabric here. The shop is simple, dusty sometimes, but it serves the people around us just fine.
