You can find us at the 4th km stone on the Kharkhoda Road, out in Village Bhanshru Khurd. It’s in the Sampla tehsil of Rohtak district. It’s a bit of a drive from the main town, but we like it out here. The facility is bigger than some of the shops in the village, but it’s still a local operation at heart. Vegitech Food Processing & Packaging India Pvt .Ltd. sounds like a big name, but it’s just us working with the local produce. We have some machines for the packaging, and they make a steady humming sound all day. It gets quite loud in the middle of the afternoon. We have to wear hairnets and aprons, which gets a bit sweaty in the summer months. The floor is easy to wash down, which we do every evening. We get trucks coming in from the nearby farms with fresh vegetables. We have to sort through everything by hand first. It’s a lot of bending over and lifting crates. My back usually aches by the end of the shift. We have a small break area where we keep a water cooler. It’s a plain room with a few plastic chairs. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. People who come to see us usually just walk straight into the work area. It’s a practical place for practical work and we keep the machines running steady.
