You can find the Sudha Devi Welfare Organisation over in Baithan Pana, right behind the DAV School in the Beri village area of Jhajjar. We are tucked away in a spot that is easy to miss if you are not looking for it, but the locals all know where the school is. Working in Haryana, especially in a place like Beri, means we are very connected to the people living around us. Our building is simple and practical because we focus more on what we are doing than what the office looks like to outsiders. Most of our days are spent talking to people from the village or the surrounding Tehsil about their needs. You can often hear the kids playing at the school nearby during their breaks, which gives the whole area a lot of life and energy. It is a very rural setting, so things move at a bit of a different pace than they do in the big cities like Delhi. We deal with various community matters and try to help out where we can with local issues. There is no fancy furniture here, just the basic desks and chairs that we need to get our work done. We usually have people dropping by just to say hello or to ask for advice on something small. It is a very open and friendly environment for everyone. We have been part of this community for a long time, and we plan to keep it that way.
