Simpac Design

If you head out to Distt. Jhahhar in Haryana, you'll find us in Kheri Khummar village. Simpac Design is located right there, near the post office. It is a quiet place compared to the big cities. We work out of a building that fits right into the village landscape. The air is a bit cleaner here, though it gets very dusty when the tractors go past on the dirt roads. Our work involves a lot of drawing and planning on the computers. Sometimes we have to go out into the fields to check on things. It’s a mix of office work and being out in the sun. We are a small team and most of us grew up nearby. We know the people and the land around here. It takes a while to get supplies delivered all the way out to the village, so we have to plan everything in advance. We don’t have fancy coffee machines, just a stove for making chai. The cows sometimes wander near the entrance, which is just part of living in Kheri Khummar. We like being based in our home area instead of moving to a crowded city. It’s a slower pace of life, but the work still gets done. We focus on our designs and try to make things that actually work for people. It is a simple, practical way to run a business. We stay busy with local projects.
