Bahadurgarh is where we have our setup, specifically on Lane 3 of Vijay Nagar. If you know the Ballour Road area, you probably know it gets quite dusty with all the transport going on. We spend our days dealing with concrete products. It is heavy, gray work, but somebody has to do it. The yard is usually full of blocks and pipes waiting to go out. It gets noisy with the mixers running and the loaders moving back and forth. Our staff mostly comes from around this part of Haryana, so we all know each other well. The office is small and usually has a thin layer of dust on everything no matter how much we sweep. We don’t have any big corporate slogans or fancy uniforms. We just wear what works for the job and get on with the mixing and pouring. In the summer, the heat in Bahadurgarh is something else, so we try to get the heavy lifting done before the sun is right overhead. Sometimes things get delayed when a truck breaks down or the cement delivery is late, but that is just how it goes in this business. We’ve been at this for a while now and the neighbors don't mind the noise too much anymore. We just keep our heads down and make sure the concrete sets right. It is a simple life and it works for us. We just focus on the bricks and blocks one day at a time.
