S. Rao Enterprises

S. Rao Enterprises is based out of V.P.O. Khatiwas. It’s a pretty quiet area compared to the noise of the city, which we actually like. We handle a variety of supply and trade work from here. The office is basically just a small room attached to our main storage area. You can see the green fields right from the window, which is nice when it rains in the afternoons. We don't have a huge staff, just a couple of us who manage the orders and the logistics every day. Most of our work involves talking to suppliers and making sure things arrive in Khatiwas on time for our customers. Since we are in a village post office area, everyone knows everyone else’s business. It’s a very tight community. We might be a bit slow sometimes because of the local pace of things, but we always follow through on what we say. We don’t even have a website or anything like that, we just work through phone calls and people stopping by for a chat. It’s a very manual process. We keep our books in physical ledgers mostly. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a few hours and we just sit outside on the bench for a bit. It’s not a high-pressure environment like those big city firms you see on TV. We’ve been here for years and the locals know exactly where to find us. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes our way.
